Who Should Attend

Course is designed for new and established USC investigators who wish to submit a grant application to the Department of Defense and/or the Department of Energy. The objective is to educate investigators in the complete process of conceptualizing a DoD and DoE grant proposal, structuring the application, submitting it for peer review, and working with Department officials to get the application funded.

Course Description

The course will focus on the unique proposal requirements and review process for the Department of Defense. Course objectives will be to instruct participants in how to identify opportunities within the DoD and DoE, determine its funding priorities, target specific agencies within the Departments, prepare applications for various solicitations, build relationships with funding agencies, and advocate effectively for funding of the application.

One 2 hour session. Offered once per semester.
