USC Office of Research Diversity Website

The Office of Research has launched a new website containing resources on diversity in research:

The site is aligned with USC’s Strategic Plan for Diversity in Research, including research on diversity in society, health in diverse populations, community-centered research, as well as features for faculty and students. We will continue to add resources to the site, and suggestions are appreciated.

As stated on the diversity in research site:

“USC is located at the center of one of the most diverse cities in the world, making diversity and inclusion a unique strength of our research programs. Our priority is to conduct research that benefits all segments of society, helping us produce innovative and important research within an inclusive research culture.”

Toward these goals, I am proud to report that the Zumberge Diversity and Inclusion program has awarded twenty grants to faculty in the two years since inception, with participation from eight schools and the Dornsife College. A list of awards can be found here, including research on education, medicine, health disparities, commerce, media, homelessness, and environmental equity.
