How and Why of Contracted Research Agreements

Who Should Attend

Course is designed for development officers and new USC investigators, who would like to learn about the legal issues and policies surrounding agreements to support research sponsored by private organizations, such as corporations and foundations.

Course Description

Learn the steps that USC follows to negotiate and process contracted research agreements, including intellectual property, deliverable work products, and financial terms, and distinctions between gifts, grants and contracts.
