The USC Roski Eye Institute has more than 30 faculty covering all subspecialties of ophthalmology. Over the past four decades, USC Roski Eye Institute faculty members have received international acclaim for their contributions to vision research, including the development of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography, a non-invasive imaging technique used to diagnose glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and other retinal and optic nerve disorders, the Baerveldt glaucoma implant, the world’s most widely used glaucoma implant – the most effective minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
